García de León performs at the 1st International Cycle of Classical Guitar

(MEXICO CITY) — Ernesto García de León performed today at the concert closure of the First International Cycle of Classical Guitar. García de León played a repertoire solely from his own works— 20 Studies, Op.50; Six Preludes from Op.37; and Faraway Places, 2nd Movement from Sonata No. 4—Lejanias, Op.34.

After his performance the composer gave a master class where he shared his experience and listened to young students interpret his works. García de León expressed:

“I’m very happy with my participation during this First International Classical Guitar Festival. I am pleasantly surprised by the love that these youngsters have for music, for the guitar...they're very young and I was sharing with them for quite a while... I feel very flattered to work with such an enthusiantic group of youngsters interested in what I do.”
