Sonata N° 1, Harmonic Analysis
The purpose of this document is to further the current research and encourage interest in the music of the Mexican composer Ernesto García de León. This paper will advance the current research with an in-depth analysis of the first movement of Sonata No. I, Op.13, Las Campanas (The Bells) for solo guitar. The analysis will focus on the pervasive presence of the melodic and harmonic intervals of perfect fourths, perfect fifths, and tritones as constructive devises throughout the sonata. Learn More»
Carlo Pezzimenti, Classical Guitarist
Carlo Pezzimenti is an internationally recognized guitar teacher and performer. He has served on the faculty of Texas Woman's University since 1980, teaching guitar lessons and guitar ensemble. Since beginning his study of classical guitar in Florence, Italy at the age of thirteen, Mr. Pezzimenti has worked successfully to impart his wealth of knowledge to students, to further develop his artistry, and to share his musical philosophy with audiences around the world.
